Weekly Skyrim Mod #2 – Supreme and Volumetric Fog

Elder Scrolls, Game, Game Review, Guide

I still can’t believe I’m playing Skyrim 5 years later, even after completing most of the game. It’s not a bad thing, it’s actually incredible how mods can keep a game relevant, especially one as expansive as this.

There are pages of mods to play with, which can be overwhelming, so I’ll be picking a mod that I recommend, every week. Last week it was Better Vanilla Perks, but this week, it’s the Supreme and Volumetric Fog mod.

For A Simple Change, It Can Have A Big Impact

All it does is add more fog in some places. That’s it! While it’s not as fancy as adding weapons, dungeons or improving perks, it makes the game feel different and far more immersive than Vanilla Skyrim.

Exploring areas where the fog is extremely dense is when you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled and listen out for possible enemies. I had some gameplay recorded¬†while I was riding my horse, and a bear suddenly appeared and attacked me, which honestly made me jump a little¬†(hey, horror isn’t my forte!).

Check out how it looks with more screenshots below. They all have a ‘Silent Hill’ feel to them! ;]

Want some visual improvements? Then this mod is an absolute must, even more so if you’re playing with stealth focused characters!

If you’ve used this mod, what do you think of it? If not, would you use it?
